I started my business in August 2004. I was wanting something a bit different since my day job, which I loved, consisted of caring for animals and talking to tons of children....plus I figured I could make a little extra money to help pay off my college loans. Little did I know how much this would escalate into such a booming business! In 2005 I lost my job due to Hurricane Katrina and with 2 children and one on the way it was really hard to find another job to pay more than what it would cost for daycare so after running the numbers I decided to pursue Slumber Parties as my sole income :)
So now I get to be a stay at home mom to my 3 children plus go out an make way more money than my previous career. I choose when I want to work so if baseball games, dance, karate, etc are going on with my kids....I can just do parties around all the activities and family time! How cool is that? Plus I can do as little or as many parties as I want!
